Annotate

Spotlight: focus attention on demand

Add a Spotlight from the Annotate panel to pull the viewer's eye to one specific spot on the screen.

Dark or Bright

Dark mode dims everything outside the spotlight, leaving the highlighted circle at full brightness — the classic "spotlight" look. Bright mode instead adds a soft glow inside the spot without touching anything outside it, a gentler way to draw the eye without darkening the rest of the frame.

Size and feather

Adjust the spotlight's radius, and its feather — how gradual the transition is between the spotlighted area and its surroundings. A higher feather gives a soft, glowing edge instead of a hard circle.

Track mouse

Turn on "Track mouse" and the spotlight follows your live cursor position instead of sitting at one fixed point — useful when you're narrating and moving around the screen freely, and want the spotlight to follow along automatically rather than placing several fixed spotlights back to back.
