Find and add music
Search the catalog or import audio you have permission to use.
These guides cover the development build shown on this site. Some controls may differ in the published installer. Check your version in Settings and the download notes.
Choose a source
Open Music to browse or search the Jamendo catalog. Results and previews require internet access. Use My Sounds or the local import control to add your own audio file.
Listen, then add
Preview the track before adding it. Adjust its start, length, volume, and fades on the timeline. Keep speech intelligible and check the final mix on speakers as well as headphones.
Check the license
A catalog listing does not mean every use is permitted. Review the individual track’s license and attribution requirements, especially for advertisements, client work, or monetized videos. Keep a record of your permission.
If the catalog is empty
Try a simple search, check your connection, and retry later. The service may be unavailable or return no matches. You can still import local audio. A demo result is not a substitute for an available, licensed track.
Remove a track
Select the audio item, not the video clip, before deleting it. Removing it from the timeline does not necessarily delete its downloaded copy from the local library.
