The floating HUD & countdown

Once you hit Start, a 3-2-1 countdown appears so you have a moment to switch to whatever you're about to demo. After that, the main app window hides entirely — the only thing left on screen is a small floating control panel, the HUD.

What the HUD can do

Pause and resume the recording, stop it, mute or unmute your microphone, turn your webcam on or off mid-recording, and toggle click highlights — all without bringing the main app back into focus.

It's invisible to the recording itself

The HUD is content-protected at the OS level, so even though you can see and use it the entire time, it's excluded from the captured frames. What you see on your screen while recording and what actually ends up in the file are different — the HUD is only ever in the former.
