Getting Started

Your first recording, start to finish

Open Tieddr Pro Screen and you land on the Record view — a small, focused panel, not a cluttered dashboard. Pick a mode (Full Screen, Custom region, or Window), confirm your camera and mic in the Device & Tool panel on the right, and press Start.

The Record view: pick a mode, confirm your devices, hit Start.

The countdown, then the HUD

A 3-2-1 countdown gives you a moment to get ready. Once it finishes, the app itself gets out of the way — only a small floating control panel (the HUD) stays on screen, so nothing about the app's own interface ends up in your recording. See The floating HUD & countdown for what it can do.

Do your thing, then stop

Interact normally — clicks drive the automatic zoom later in the editor. When you're done, hit Stop on the HUD, or use the keyboard shortcut. You're dropped straight into the editor with your take already sitting on the timeline, ready to edit.

What's next

From here, most people either trim the take (see Working with the timeline & clips), add a zoom or two (see Zoom blocks & click-accurate auto-zoom), or jump straight to exporting if the raw take is already good enough.
