Annotate

Blur masks for privacy

Add a blur mask from the Annotate panel to hide anything sensitive before it ever reaches your export — an email address, an API key, a name in a chat window.

Position and size

Drag the mask directly on the preview, or adjust its X, Y, width and height numerically from the inspector once it's selected.

Strength and feather

Blur strength controls how heavily the content underneath is blurred. Feather controls how soft the mask's edge is — a higher feather blends the blur smoothly into the surrounding frame instead of showing a hard-edged rectangle, which reads far less like an obvious "there's something hidden here" censor bar.

Always-on across the project

Unlike most annotations, blur masks default to running for the full length of the project rather than just a few seconds — the assumption is that if something needs hiding, it needs hiding the whole time it's on screen. You can still adjust its timing if you only need it hidden for part of the recording.
